At Barrington Griffiths Watch Company we take pride in creating high-quality timepieces that reflect the best of Canadian craftsmanship. Our watches are proudly made in Canada, with more than 51% Canadian-manufactured content.
While we have sourced select materials from around the world, recent trade tariffs imposed on Canadian goods by the United States have led us to make an important decision:
Going forward, we will no longer purchase American materials for our watches. This decision is not made lightly, as we deeply appreciate the relationships we have built with our suppliers, including the Horween Leather Co., whose exceptional craftsmanship has enhanced our timepieces. While we will continue to offer Horween leather straps while our local stock lasts, we are actively sourcing high-quality alternatives, including Canadian suppliers.
To our American friends and neighbours, we extend our deepest respect. We stand with those who continue to champion freedom, equality, and diversity, and who work toward restoring thoughtful leadership. As Canadians, we remain strong, independent, and committed to our values.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we move forward with integrity and resilience.

New Models Ready This Month
We’re excited to announce the production of three new watch models this August: the 39 mm Sandon Metallic Pistachio, along with two new additions in our smaller format—the 34 mm Sandon Indigo and the 34 mm Radian Silver.
The Metallic Pistachio is available now, and both 34 mm models will launch on August 15.
Straps & Accessories
Looking to change up your look or replace a well-worn strap? Explore our Straps & Accessories page for a curated selection of straps and deployment clasps, available for both 34 mm and 39 mm models.
Whether you're after a fresh style or a perfect fit, we've got you covered.
Modern Classic Update
Development of the Modern Classic has taken longer than expected, as we've focused on meeting demand for the Sandon and Viamastra lines while creating the all-new 34 mm version.
The good news: we’re redesigning the case, dial, crystal, and hands to bring the wristwatch even closer to the spirit and proportions of the original pocket watch. It’s a major step forward—and it’s worth the wait.
We sincerely thank those on the waitlist for their patience. While we don’t have a confirmed release date yet, we’re aiming to deliver the first batch by the end of 2025.
– The BG Watch Team 🍁
Barrington Griffiths has been making watches in Alberta, Canada, since 2010 using a mix of Canadian and imported parts. Our watch cases and hand-made leather straps are made in Alberta. All the design, assembly, and testing are done here.
We may not be big, but our partners and customers appreciate the effort we make to produce a watch in Canada.
Our quality process starts in design, ensuring fit and compatibility of parts in a virtual model before moving into manufacturing. Physical prototypes are used to check for proportion, fit, and ergonomics. Then revisions are made as needed to the design model. During manufacture every component is checked before the assembly process begins.
Assembly follows a step-by-step sequence to maintain uniform quality. Assembled watches are visually inspected for defects, tested for water-resistance, and timed for accuracy before they leave the shop.
We take great pride in what we do, and we want each customer to feel that same pride in the ownership of their watch. Our attention to detail and quality is backed by our 1-year guarantee.
